W. States Lee
As a native Charlottean and an active real estate developer and broker for 27 years, States knows this region and the Carolina’s real estate market. His passion for the natural world and his commitment to uncompromising integrity serve as the cornerstone of Addison Realty’s niche of serving buyers and sellers of timberland, farmland and recreational properties. Upon graduating from college States practiced forestry for a major land owner in the Carolinas for eight years before entering the commercial real estate business in the Charlotte region. He founded Addison Realty Advisors in 1997 to help serve commercial real estate clients and soon began offering the combination of his forest management and commercial real estate experience to land owners and buyers of rural properties.
Building on a legacy of a family that has been influential in this area for generations, States continues in the family tradition of being an active and engaged member of the Charlotte community. He is a former director of a local community bank and has served on the board of many non-profit organizations. He currently serves as a director of the Lynwood Foundation and the North Carolina Outward Bound School.
States is a graduate of Woodberry Forest School and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Management Science from Colorado State University. A true outdoor enthusiast, he enjoys all that nature has to offer and spends most of his spare time in the field or on a stream casting a fly.
States is a licensed real estate broker in North and South Carolina.
